christmas was excellent <3

i have all sorts of exciting other things including Sweeney Todd on DVD, two new bottles of nail polish, a metal robot i’m in love with, a stuffed hedgehog, Reese’s, other various candy, and many other amazing things. also lots of money from my relatives. and my family members loved their presents from me, so that’s good. i was really excited to give them their gifts.

but, most importantly:

yesss. instead of any individual big presents this year, we got a large family present of a Wii, including Wii Sports and Wii Sports Resort, and also Wii Fit. All of which are really really fun.

ooh, guess whaaat. my dad just bought Zelda: Twilight Princess. i’m flipping exciiiiteeeed. i love love love Zelda <3

anyway, it was a very fabulous Christmas <3

make my wish come true

today was the official first day of the Christmas break! :D we went Christmas shopping at Kista and it was great fun. just 3 days before Christmas, 2 for everyone besides my family actually, because we’re cool like that. yesterday was a really fun day as well; it was the day of the avslutning. i love chilling with my homies ^^
anyways, i already know what we’re getting for Christmas. instead of lots of presents we’re just buying a big family present, and that present is a Wii! yaaay! and the package we’re getting comes with like Wii Fitness and that fitness floor thing and eeeverything which is fabulous. i didn’t think i wanted a Wii but yes actually i do.
i will blog after Christmas telling of the amazing things i’ll have received, and also i’ll blog when a decision has been made regarding our future. but i can say one thing conclusively; we’ve signed a contract for one specific apartment in Sundyberg which is currently under construction. this doesn’t mean we’ll stay but it means that we have a place to live if we decide to. it’s in a cute, suburban neighborhood and it’s extremely close to Sundybergs Centrum which is cool, and also really close to the library and the pendeltåg… so i have hope. while it might not be the smarter decision (and we have no idea which is the smarter decision, so many things to consider) staying in Sweden is definitely what i’m pushing for. but i know i’ll be fine if we go. really sad to leave, of course, but we all will be. and i know i’ll come back.
buuut no need to put too much thought into that right now; a decision has yet to be made.
now i shall watch Grey’s Anatomy.

chriiistmas is coooming <3

we’re not going anywhere this Christmas and i’m perfectly fine with that. i want to spend the break here, especially since we’re probably moving back to the states.

i was just thinking the other day, i love how Swedish Christmas traditions mean a lot to me now. i don’t think i can ever have another Christmas without pepparkakor and Santa Lucia and lussekatter and ischoklad and those fake candle lights in everyone’s windows.

speaking of pepparkakor, Emily & i made some from packaged dough yesterday. it was kind of weird. the dough especially, but the cookies themselves were kind of weird too.

this Advent calendar we’ve had for literally as long as i can remember. it is a huge Havenstein tradition and we have it hanging every December. <3

and of course i have a chocolate Advent calendar as well :D
